The latest version of the easymenu script is now live and available for download from http://www.easymenu.co.uk.
EasyMenu.co.uk, a free online menu builder with an important difference, has launched today. The service is being provided free of charge for personal users, and has already provided menus in use by websites as diverse as an Australian bank, a Texan governmental body and an electioneering candidate for a Senator in a well known US state.
EasyMenu.co.uk provides DHTML menus, but with an important difference. The menus are "semantically correct", meaning they adhere to the best practice of meaningful code, as well as being xhtml1.1 compliant, and section 508/Bobby compliant. This all means that the DHTML drop down menus provided by EasyMenu.co.uk are the friendliest available today to users with disabilities, screen-readers, and indeed any generation 5+ web browser.
The online menu builder service is in beta now, available via the web site, and does not require registration with the site. Licensing terms are generous allowing any site to display and use the generated menus, with sites required to provide a link back to easymenu.co.uk or purchase a license to help with the upkeep and development of the easymenu software.
